Detroit DJ Jeff Mills is fascinated by symphonic music and wrote Where the light ends with composer Sylvain Griotto, a concerto for DJ and orchestra. The children of the Culture section of the Jean Macé recreation centre were inspired by this work and chose excerpts of Tchaikovsky’s 6th Symphony to make their own electronic sounds with a little help of Bertrand Braillard, cellist of the Orchestre national d’Île-de-France, composer Sylvain Griotto and Sébastien Béranger from La Muse en Circuit, National centre of musical creation.
This explosive combination will be start “Odyssées”, the Orchestre national d’Île-de-France concert at L’Onde, theatre of Vélizy-Villacoublay, on 2 December.
